Moving can be stressful, but we are here to help you. Whether you are moving cities or states, or simply looking for a new dental practice in your area, we can guide you through this process. Shirley Orthodontics and Pediatrics in NY accepts transfer patients so that you can have continued care without worry of your treatment being prolonged.
When You Need To Change Offices
If you are currently receiving orthodontic care elsewhere, but are interested in transferring practices, we can help you. This may be due to a variety of reasons, such as a recent move, a change in insurance, or you are unsatisfactory care at your current office. If you have recently moved to states or cities, take your time to research new offices to ensure quality of care. If your insurance has changed, or your current practice does not take it anymore, you may need to switch offices to avoid overpaying for care. In addition to these problems, you may not agree with your current treatment. We understand this can be frustrating, but we are here to help.
Creating A Smooth Transition
First, you will need to notify your current provider that you will be moving. They will send your records and current treatment plan to your new office. Then, you will need to schedule an initial visit with your new dentist. They may want to perform a thorough examination and discuss your current treatment plan with you. If any changes need to be made to this, they will walk you through their decision.
For patients who were former patients of Smile Direct Club, you may not have access to your records. Unfortunately, this company shut down in December, leaving many patients without care. If you have found yourself in this situation, we will do our best to get you on track so that your alignment process is not prolonged.
We Offer Second Opinions, Too
The orthodontic process is an investment, so it is important that you feel confident in the plan your current dentist has created for you. If you are unsure or would like advice from another professional, we also offer second opinions. During this free consultation, we will examine your smile and discuss what the best option would be for you. This way, you can begin your treatment knowing that you are well cared for.
Whether you are a parent guiding their children through braces for the first time, or an adult wanting to align their smile, we are here to help you every step of the way.
