Patrick J. Sabo, D.M.D.
Dr. Sabo completed his D.M.D. degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From there he received his Orthodontic degree at SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He Practiced one year in Maryland and eight years in Massachusetts before joining the practice of Drs. Goldman and Taynor (now Shirley Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry) in May of 2000, where he has been working ever since. He specializes in Early Intervention Treatment and Invisalign
In addition to this experience, Dr. Sabo has served as past president of Port Jefferson Rotary and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics.
Mark A. Rienecker, D.D.S, P.C.
Dr. Mark Rienecker completed his D.D.S. degree at SUNY of Buffalo in New York. He then finished his Pediatric Dental Residency as well as his Orthodontic Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He has been practicing in Suffolk County since 1997. He specializes in TMJ and Early treatment.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, and the New York State Dental Society. His philosophy with patients is to treat every person — kids and parents, alike — with care and kindness. Dr. Rienecker has an ability to create smiles that provide confidence in all of our patients.
Erin Diamantakis, D.D.S.
Dr. Erin Diamantakis grew up in Shoreham, New York and was an Orthodontic patient of Drs. Goldman, Taynor, Sabo & Rienecker as a child. Becoming passionate about the field early on, Dr. Erin began working as an Orthodontic assistant at the practice as a teenager until she started dental school 5 years later. She completed her undergraduate degree in Spanish on full scholarship at SUNY Stony Brook and received her doctorate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She then returned to New York and completed a general-practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. After her GPR, she worked as a general dentist and then completed her Orthodontic residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.
Dr. Erin is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the New York State Dental Society, the Suffolk County Dental Society, and continues to pursue professional development activities including monthly study clubs and continuing education conferences.
When not at work, Dr. Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Manny Diamantakis, a dentist in Syosset, NY, and with her children, and dog Finn. She is proud to work at the same practice where she spent so much time as a child and teenager.
Sean Challenger, D.D.S.
Originally from Rockland County, NY, Dr. Sean Challenger made his way to Long Island, NY where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology at SUNY College at Old Westbury. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After rooting for the Bills for four years, he moved back to Long Island to complete a two-year Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and New York State Dental Association.
Dr. Challenger is dedicated to creating engaging, positive dental experiences for children of all ages. He takes pride in ensuring his patients are comfortable during their visit and are excited to return. When not in the office, Dr. Challenger loves traveling and exploring new places, spending time with his friends and family, and trying out new and delicious foods.
